About me

I am a tech enthusiast and have been for as long as I can remember. I grew up following along with my dad as he tinkered around with computers and other tech, and I haven't stopped since.

I graduated from the University of California, Irvine in March 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a minor in Informatics, and am now working full time.

In my free time I enjoy playing video games, watching anime or reading manga, and enjoying all the good food I can get my hands on. Whenever I'm able, I also have a great time camping and fishing in the outdoors, and traveling to all kinds of places in general.

What I'm Up To Now

I'm currently working as a DevOps Engineer for a certain SF Bay Area biotech company where I take care of all kinds of things DevOps from automation, CI/CD, platform engineering, cloud engineering, service orchestration, monitoring, DevSecOps, and more. It's a really fun job and all of the work I do is super interesting, so I'm definitely planning to stick with this career path for the foreseeable future.

I also have been continuing my education independently from work and outside of going back to school; most recently I've become CompTIA Security+ certified, as I'm very interested in cybersecurity. As for what I'll study next I'm still deciding. Kubernetes maybe?

Outside of work and study, I also have a home lab where I like to fool around with different technologies to learn more about them. For example, containerization, orchestration, application and web hosting, and more. If I ever come up with something cool that I'd want to share with the world, you'll be able to find it here so stay tuned!
